NOTICE TO CITIZENS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF PUBLIC HEARING RE: HAHN TILE REPAIR PROJECT #16-034 Notice is hereby given that the Elkhart County Drainage Board has scheduled a Public Hearing for 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, December 13, 2016, at for 9:30 A.M. on Tuesday, in Room A of the County Public Services Building, 4230 Elkhart Road, Goshen, Indiana (U.S. 33 @ C.R. 26) for consideration of the HAHN TILE REPAIR PROJECT #16-034. It is the landowner's responsibility to advise any renters of their property or lands being sold under land contract of this notice. The project is located in Sections 22 and 27 of Olive Twp. and includes the replacement of approximately 1,100 feet of failing 24 inch tile with a 24 inch polyethylene corrugated tile with sock. The proposed work extends approximately 350 feet North of CR 38 and 750 feet South of CR 38. The completion date for this work is to be determined at this meeting. NO CROP DAMAGES are proposed to be paid. The estimated cost of the project is less than $90,000.00. Property owners should be aware that Cumulative Drainage funds will be used to finance the County's portion of the project and that no ditch maintenance assessments against property owners are contemplated. Interested property owners and concerned citizens will be given an opportunity to present their views on the project and claim damages as they might accrue from said project, at the scheduled hearing. Plans and specifications on the project may be reviewed at the Office of the Elkhart County Surveyor.
