DIVISION A - BIDDING REQUIREMENTS SECTION A-1 - NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals will be received by the Board of Clark County Commissioners until 5:00 P.M. local time on the 24th day of March, 2016 in the office of Clark County Commissioners, Clark County Government Building, 501 E. Court Ave., Room 404, Jeffersonville, Indiana, 47130 for the construction of the following project: JOB NO. 12156: CLARK-FLOYD LANDFILL SUBSURFACE BARRIER WALL EXTENSION - PART A This project will include the construction of all items indicated on the plans with the exception of the subsurface barrier wall. This will include the installation of the leachate collection system, underground electric lines and conduit, erosion control and maintenance, and all other items described on the plans and in these specifications. At the hour of 5:00 P.M. local time on the 24th day of March, 2016 all bids for this construction will be publicly opened and read aloud. The bids shall be Lump Sum for all work shown on the plans and called for in the specifications and as detailed in the Instructions to Bidders in the specifications and submitted in duplicate on the State Board of Accounts Form No. 96. An executed State Board of Accounts Form 96a shall be required. The bidder must file with their sealed bid proposal, a certified check or a bid bond in the amount of five (5) percent of the total bid, payable to the Board of Clark County Commissioners. The above checks or bonds are to insure the execution of the contract on which such bids are made. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish, before commencing work, a performance, maintenance and payment bond to extend for a period of one year after final acceptance, in an amount equal to the bid price of the contract awarded to said Contractor and Certificates of all insurance required by the specifications. All sealed bids shall be turned in to the Board of Clark County Commissioners, Clark County Government Building, 501 E. Court Ave., Room 404, Jeffersonville, IN 47130. The Board of Clark County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities in bidding.
