NOTICE TO QUOTERS Notice is hereby given, the City of Washington, Indiana, by and through the Board of Public Works and Safety hereinafter referred to as the owner, will receive sealed quotes for: "2016 SIDEWALK AND CURB REPLACEMENT PROGRAM" Sealed quotes may be forwarded by registered mail, or delivered in person, addressed to the Board of Public Works and Safety in care of the City of Washington Clerk-Treasurer, City Hall, 101 N.E. Third Street, Washington, Indiana 47501, by 3:00 P.M. on MAY 9, 2016. Quotes received after 3:00 P.M. will be returned unopened. Sealed quotes will be opened during the regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Public Works and Safety held immediately following the 6:30 P.M. (EST) Common Council meeting on the above date in the Council Chambers located at 200 Harned Avenue, Washington, Indiana. The work to be performed and the quotes submitted shall include sufficient and proper sums for all general, construction, labor, materials, tools, and equipment costs, and so forth incident to and required for the construction of the new sidewalks and curbs. All materials furnished and labor performed incident to and required for the proper and satisfactory execution of the contract shall be furnished and performed in accordance with Item 3-description of Work Performed by Contractor, and Item 4 Work Performed and Materials Provided by Owner described in the information to bidders and in accordance with the Owner's Specifications. Each quote must be enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the project and the name and address of the bidder. No quote security is required. No performance bond or payment bonds are required. Quotes shall be properly and completely executed on the quote forms provided by the City. Quotes shall include Indiana State Board of Accounts form 96 executed by the bidder and provided by the City. In addition to price, quotes will be evaluated based on whether the bidder is responsible, and if the bidder's offer is responsive. No quote shall be withdrawn after the opening of the quotes without the consent of the City for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled time for receiving same. The City reserves the right to reject any and all quotes, delete any portions thereof, to waive any informalities or irregularities in any quote received, and to award a contract, consistent with Indiana law, to the lowest, responsible and responsive bidder. Contract documents and specifications may be obtained, at no charge, from Mr. Bryan Sergesketter, City Building Commissioner, 2113 Memorial Avenue, Washington, Indiana, 47501.
