Notice of Adoption of Zoning Ordinance, Zoning Map, and Subdivision Control Ordinance in the City of Charlestown, Indiana Notice is hereby given that on November 7, 2016, the Common Council of the City of Charlestown, Indiana adopted Ordinance # 2016-OR-19, An Ordinance Establishing Zoning Within the City of Charlestown, Indiana. The effect of the ordinance is to establish standards for development of real property and structures located in the municipal limits of Charlestown, Indiana. In conjunction with this Ordinance a Zoning Map was adopted. Penalties in the amount of not less than fifty, nor more than three hundred dollars, may be imposed for each day a violation continues, as well as injunctive relief, upon violation of this Ordinance. On November 7, 2016, the Common Council of the City of Charlestown, Indiana also adopted Ordinance # 2016-OR-20, a Subdivision Control Ordinance effective within The City of Charlestown, Indiana. Penalties in the amount of not less than one hundred , nor more than five thousand dollars may be imposed for each day a violation continues, as well as injunctive relief, upon violation of this Ordinance.
