CITY OF KOKOMO BOARD OF PUBLIC WORKS AND SAFETY NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Notice is hereby given that the Board of Public Works and Safety of the City of Kokomo, Indiana (the BOW) will receive bids until the hour of 10:00 a.m. (E.S.T.) on Wednesday, the 23th day of November, 2016 at the City Board of Works' Office located on the first floor, City Hall, 100 South Union Street, Kokomo, Indiana, 46901 for the following: PROJECT NAME: HOME AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT NO. E1602-1F FOR THE CITY OF KOKOMO PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of all labor and material to reconstruct Home Avenue from Hoffer Street to Markland Avenue including curb and gutter to modify the number and width of travel lanes, new ADA compliant curb ramps and sidewalks at affected intersections, storm sewer installation and relocation, landscaping, street resurfacing and traffic markings. There will be a mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting held in the Engineering Conference Room on the 2nd floor of City Hall at 9:00 AM on Tuesday November 15, 2016. All bid must be received in the City Board of Works' Office, Third Floor, City Hall, 100 South Union Street, Kokomo, Indiana, prior to 10:00 A.M. on the 23th Day of November, 2016 as stated above. Bids received after the aforementioned deadline will be returned to the bidder unopened. Copies of the detailed specifications for said services and the necessary bid documents are on file in said Board of Works' Office where copies may be obtained. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 will be charged for each set of specifications and bid documents obtained. Each bid shall be submitted on a BOW Approved Bid Form, a copy which may be obtained at the Board of Works' Office and a Financial Statement. The BOW reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in submitting a bid, whichever is in the best interest of the City of Kokomo. The Contractor to whom the work is awarded will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to the contract amount before commencing work.
