RE: Anderson Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Program Anderson, Indiana Notice is hereby given that the Madison County Council of Governments shall take bids for the rehabilitation of existing residential structures located at 1503 Laurel Street, 1604 Euclid Drive, 1730 West 11th Street, and 2339 West 18th Street, Anderson, Indiana. Specifications may be obtained at the Madison County Council of Governments in the Madison County Government Building, 16 East 9th Street, Room 100, Anderson, Indiana, 46016 beginning November 4, 2016, between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. Contractor has the option to request one digital set at no cost. In lieu of a Pre-Bid Construction Meeting, a Pre-Bid Site Visit at the project sites (1503 Laurel St at 10:00am, 1604 Euclid Drive at 10:30am, 1730 West 11th Street at 11:00am, and 2339 West 18th Street at 11:30 am) for potential bidders will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016. A set of Contract Documents shall be on file for review at the Madison County Council of Governments, 16 East 9th Street, Room 100, Anderson, Indiana, 46016 during the bidding process. Sealed Bids are to be delivered to the office of the Madison County Council of Governments, 16 East 9th Street, Room 100, Anderson, Indiana, 46016 no later than 10:00am on Friday, November 18, 2016. The sealed bids will be publicly opened Friday, November 18, 2016 at 10:00am (local time) at the Madison County Government Building, 16 East 9th Street, Room 108, Anderson, Indiana, 46016. The successful bid will be awarded after review at a later date. The sealed bids shall be marked on the outside of the envelope with Anderson Owner-Occupied Rehabilitation Bid and shall have the name of the Contractor clearly stated. Bids shall be submitted on the Work Specifications with Contractor's Estimates Form. The successful bidders will be required to furnish Builders Risk and Contractor Liability Insurance for work done throughout the construction period prior to execution of contracts. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any and all proposals; to waive any informality in the bidding; and to enter into a contract with the bidder who, in their consideration, offered the lowest and most responsive proposal. It is important to note that each property has a cap of maximum funding available, so certain specification items may be removed to fit within budget constraints. Bidders are Strongly Encouraged to consider MBE/WBE Entities, as well as local contractors/subcontractors where feasible in preparation of their bids.
