NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF BROWNSBURG, INDIANA REGARDING A REAL PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT REQUEST To: The Citizens of the Town of Brownsburg and of Hendricks County, Indiana You are hereby notified that the Town Council of the Town of Brownsburg, Indiana (the Town Council) adopted Resolution No. 2016-39 on October 27, 2016 regarding the designation of an economic revitalization area and transfer of an existing ten-year real property tax abatement pursuant the request of Brownsburg Partners, LLC. A legal description of the real property located at Parcel Identification No. 32-07-12-100-001.000-016 in Brownsburg, Indiana along with a complete copy of Resolution No. 2016-39 which contains the application for transfer of the real property abatement is available and can be inspected at the office of the Town Manager for the Town of Brownsburg, and the Hendricks County Auditor in Danville, Indiana. On November 17, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall, 61 N. Green Street, Brownsburg, Indiana, the Town Council will receive and hear all remonstrances and objections to said Resolution from interested persons. After considering the evidence, the Town Council shall take final action determining whether the qualifications for a real property tax abatements have been met, and shall confirm, modify and confirm, or rescind such Resolutions. Such determination by the Town Council shall be final except that an appeal may be taken and heard as provided by I.C. 6-1.1-12.1-1 et seq. Pursuant to I.C. 6-1.1-12.1-2.5 a person must file a written remonstrance with the Town Council, and be aggrieved by the final action by the Town Council, to be eligible to initiate an appeal of that action in the Circuit or Superior Courts of Hendricks County. The only ground of appeal that the Court may hear is whether the proposed project will meet the qualifications of the economic revitalization area law.
