NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED TAX ABATEMENT FOR MICHAEL P. JACKSON Notice is hereby given the taxpayers of Madison County, Indiana, that the Anderson City Council at their regular meeting on October 13, 2016, 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 120 East Eighth Street, Anderson, Indiana, adopted Resolution No. 26-16 being entitled a Resolution Designating and Fixing a Date, Time, and Place for a Public Hearing for MICHAEL P. JACKSON. The Mayor of Anderson approved and signed said Resolution on October 17, 2016. By this said Resolution, real estate situated in the City of Anderson, Madison County, Indiana, located at 3025 NORTH SCATTERFIELD ROAD more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Parcel #48-07-30-300-086.001-030, SW SW 30-20-8, 2.652 acres in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana A description of the affected area is available and can be inspected in the Madison County Assessor's Office. Resolution No. 26-16 was introduced before the Council by the filing of an application with a proposed redevelopment project upon the subject real estate. The project consists of rehabilitation of a vacant 16,000 sq. ft. facility that has been vacant since 2007 and listed for sale since 2009 for $469,369.00; and therefore is an eligible vacant building as that term is defined pursuant to I.C. 6-1.1-12.1-1(17). The Anderson City Council has fixed Thursday, November 10, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City Building, 120 East Eighth Street, Anderson, Indiana, as the date, time and location for a public hearing to receive any remonstrance or objection from persons interested in the project and to determine whether the subject real estate should be declared as an economic revitalization area. Maps and plats of the economic revitalization area along with site plans are on file and may be inspected at the Department of Economic Development Office, First Floor of the City Building, 120 East Eighth Street, Anderson, Indiana.
