TOWN OF BROWNSBURG, INDIANA SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Sealed Bids for the construction of the Town of Brownsburg Sanitary Sewer System Improvements will be received from Bidders by the Town of Brownsburg, at the office of the Town Manager, until 2:00 p.m., local time on October 27, 2016, at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened and read at the Brownsburg Town Hall Tech Room, First Floor, 61 N. Green Street, Brownsburg, IN 46112. The Project consists of: Construction of sanitary sewer improvements. Included with the Project is the construction of: 1.Approximately 1,877 LF of 48-inch RCP sanitary gravity sewer. 2.Approximately 4,987 LF of 16-inch HDPE sanitary forcemain. 3.A new lift station with a standby generator The Work activities include demolition, laying pavement, excavation and backfill, shoring for construction, temporary facilities, temporary by-pass pumping, dewatering, erosion and sediment control, installation of manholes, electrical construction, instrumentation and control construction, grading of open and green space areas, tree removal, landscaping and seeding, maintenance of traffic, site work, buried piping, remaining disturbed areas will be restored to existing conditions as shown and other work indicated on the Plans and described in the Specifications. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with additive alternative bid items as indicated in the Bid Form. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Repro Graphix, Inc. (irepro@reprographix.com, (317) 637-3377). Prospective Bidders may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the Town of Brownsburg, 61 N Green St, Brownsburg, IN 46112, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., local time; and the office of the Engineer, Arcadis U.S., Inc., 132 E. Washington St, Suite 600, Indianapolis, IN, 46204, on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., local time. Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., local time. Bidding Documents are available on compact disc (as portable document format (PDF) files) for a non-refundable charge and includes shipping via overnight express service. Bidding Documents are available for download as PDF file from the Issuing Office for a non-refundable charge. Alternatively, printed Bidding Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed Bidding Documents is payable to Repro Graphix, Inc.. Upon Issuing Office's receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will be sent to the Bidder. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will be considered the prospective Bidder's date of receipt of the Bidding Documents. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. A pre-bid conference will be held at 2:00 p.m., local time on October 6, 2016, at the Brownsburg Town Hall Tech Room, First Floor, 61 N. Green Street, Brownsburg, IN, 46112. The pre-bid conference is not mandatory. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall submit proof of qualifications to perform the Work as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Funding for this project will be obtained through the Indiana State Revolving Loan Fund (SRF) program and the project will be subject to all applicable State and Federal Regulations. Wage rates for the Work shall not be less than the prevailing wages (under the Davis-Bacon Act) included as a part of the Contract Documents. The Contract Times will commence running as indicated in the General Conditions. Contract Times for completion and provisions on liquidated and special damages, if any, are indicated in the Agreement.
