NOTICE OF LETTING Notice is hereby given that the School Board of Trustees of the Sunman-Dearborn Community Schools, Ripley/Dearborn Counties, Indiana, having determined that school bus equipment is now available so as to permit free and open competition, will receive sealed proposals until 10:30 a.m. E.D.T. on September 30, 2016 at the office of the Superintendent at 1 Trojan Place, Suite B, St. Leon, IN 47012, for transportation contracts and/or fleet contracts for the transportation of school children on designated routes. Specifications which describe the routes to be traveled, the equipment to be furnished, and other conditions which will be required in the contract are now on file in the office of the Superintendent. An expanded criminal background check is required (from Safe Hiring Solutions) prior to submitting a proposal. Current contractors and drivers are exempt if a current criminal background check is on file in the Superintendent's Office. The Board reserves the right to negotiate with any or all contractors on any of the routes. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bid proposals. Routes for which proposals may be rejected will be held open for an indefinite period of time and proposals will be received on a date to be determined and thereafter until all routes are awarded. Current postings of awards or rejections will be posted in the office of the Superintendent.
