REVISED FOR REBID NOTICE TO BIDDERS Notice is hereby given that the EDWARDSVILLE WATER CORPORATION will receive sealed bids for the REBID OF WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENTS - WATER SUPPLY WELL NUMBER 13. Sealed bids will be received by the EDWARDSVILLE WATER CORPORATION, Board of Directors, at their office at 545 Maplewood Boulevard, P.O. Box 247, Georgetown, Indiana 47122 until 3:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. No late bids will be accepted and all bids returned after 3:00 p.m. local time on April 12, 2016 will remain sealed and will be returned to sender unopened. A Pre-Bid Conference shall be held on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The Pre-Bid meeting shall be held at the conference room of EDWARDSVILLE WATER CORPORATION at 545 Maplewood Boulevard, P.O. Box 247, Georgetown, Indiana 47122 The Project consists of, but is not necessarily limited to, construction of a new 42" diameter gravel pack well approximately 100 feet +/- depth of drilling, with 100 feet +/- of 30" diameter steel well casing, 20 lineal feet +/- of 30" diameter stainless steel well screen, 6" thickness of gravel pack, 1,000 gpm vertical turbine pump, 200 horsepower vertical hollow shaft pump motor, soft start/soft stop motor starter, well tower, well platform, discharge piping, plug valve, check valve, air release valve, valve vault, automatic drain-back system, electrical, painting, pressure testing and sterilization. In addition to these items of work there are other miscellaneous items of work necessary and as specified to make this project complete. All bids and proposals shall be properly and completely executed on the proposal forms provided with the plans and specifications, which will include the Non-Collusion Affidavit as required by the State of Indiana and Indiana State Board of Accounts Form 96 (revised 2013) including an Owner provided attachment thereto. The bid envelope must be sealed and have the words "REBID - WATERWORKS IMPROVEMENTS - WATER SUPPLY WELL NUMBER 13" on the outside of the envelope. A bid bond or certified check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each bid. Bid security shall be forfeited if a bid is withdrawn after the time and date set for receiving bids. Upon award of a contract but prior to the execution of a contract between the EDWARDSVILLE WATER CORPORATION and the Contractor, the Contractor shall provide one hundred percent (100%) performance and payment bonds. Any performance bond or labor and materials bond must remain in force for at least one (1) year beyond issuance of the Certificate of Substantial Completion. It is intended that actual construction of this work shall be started as soon as practicable, and each bidder shall be prepared to enter promptly into a construction contract, furnish a performance and payment bond, and begin work without delay in the event the award is made to that bidder. Any bond submitted must be from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of Indiana.
