NOTICE OF A HEARING ON PROPOSED RATES AND CHARGES Property owners, ratepayers and other interested parties in or served or to be served by the Stormwater Department of the Sewage Works of the Town of Galveston are hereby notified that Ordinance No. 2016-10 establishing rates and charges for the use of and services to be rendered by the Sewage Works for the Stormwater Department was introduced at a meeting of the Town Council on September 6, 2016. At a meeting of the Town Council to be held at 7:00 p.m. on October 3, 2016, at the Galveston Community Center, 101 Park Road, Galveston, Indiana, there will be a public hearing on the matter of rates and charges and consideration of adoption of said Ordinance which provides in part as follows: Section 1. The following schedule of rates and charges for the stormwater utility services listed below and rendered by the Stormwater Utility of the Town of Galveston, Indiana, shall replace the currently existing rates and charges for the services listed below: Flat Rate Effective Per Month: upon adoption Residential $4.25 Non-residential 8.00 Flat Rate Effective Per Month January 1, 2018 Residential $6.25 Non-residential 12.00 At such public hearing and prior to final adoption of said Ordinance, all interested parties may appear and be heard.
