Legal Notice NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING The New Albany Redevelopment Commission invites interested individuals to a Public Meeting on Wednesday, August 10th, at 5:00PM E.D.S.T. in the Assembly Room (331) City-County Building, 311 Hauss Square, New Albany, Indiana, to comment on the proposed Programmatic Agreement between the Redevelopment Commission, Indiana State Historic Preservation Officer (SHPO), and the Advisory Council on Historic Preservation (ACHP). The City of New Albany is an entitlement community in the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program. The CDBG environmental review obligation requires that the Redevelopment Commission comply with Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. The Programmatic Agreement will allow the Redevelopment Commission to determine those undertakings that have "No Effect" and those that have "No Adverse Effect" locally. The Redevelopment Commission shall maintain a list of these undertakings for public inspection. Any undertakings that have an "Adverse Effect" will be subject to a "Memorandum of Understanding" (MOU) between the Redevelopment Commission, SHPO, and ACHP. The MOU will be available for public inspection. Comments may be delivered to the Redevelopment Commission via email to Scott Wood, Qualified Historic Preservation Professional, at swood@cityofnewalbany.com, up to and including August 10, 2016.
