Smith Whereabouts Unknown Todd C. Smith is notified that a petition for adoption of a child, Alexis R. Thompson, born to Kristin M. Bluehs on July 20, 2003 was filed in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court No. 2, 501 E. Court Avenue, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130. The petition for adoption alleges that the consent to adoption of Alexis R. Bluehs is not required because Todd C. Smith previously signed a document that consented to or he relinquished his rights as biological father to this child, or that Todd C. Smith has not provided financial support to the child for a period in excess of one (1) year and has had no communication with the child for an extended period. If Todd C. Smith seeks to contest the adoption of the child, Alexis R. Thompson, Todd C. Smith must file a motion to contest the adoption in accordance with IC 31-19-10-1 in the above named court not later than thirty (30) days after the date of service of this notice. If Todd C. Smith does not file a motion to contest the adoption within thirty (30) days after service of this notice, the above named court will hear and determine the petition for adoption. The consent to adoption of Alexis R. Thompson will be irrevocably implied and Todd C. Smith will lose the right to contest either the adoption or the validity of Todd C. Smith's implied consent to the adoption. No oral statement made to Todd C. Smith relieves Todd C. Smith of Todd C. Smith's obligations under this notice. This matter has been set for hearing on August 1, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at the Court located at the Clark County Building, 501 E. Court Avenue, Second Floor, Jeffersonville, Indiana 47130.
