City of Anderson, Indiana Public Notice Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) April 1, 2015 - March 31, 2016 The City of Anderson Community Development Department will be submitting to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) a Consolidated Plan Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) for FY 2015-2016. Title 1 of the National Affordable Housing Act established the requirement that municipalities who receive funds under certain HUD programs such as Community Development Block Grant and HOME, have an approved housing and community development strategy. The main purpose of the City of Anderson's CAPER is to report the progress the Community Development Department has made in carrying out the Five-year Consolidated Plan and One Year Action Plan. The document also provides the municipality the opportunity to assess its annual performance in relationship to meeting overall Five-Year Consolidated plan priorities and objectives and what actions or changes the City intends to make as a result of the annual performance. The City of Anderson is required to make available to the general public the CAPER for examination and comment for a 15 day period. The Community Development Department is making available to the general public the draft document. Copies of the draft are available for examination and comment during normal hours from June 3- June 20, 2016 at the following locations: - The Community Development Department, 120 E. 8th Street, 46016 Room 103, City Hall - Anderson Public Library, 111 E. 12th Street, Anderson, In 46016 - City of Anderson website: www.cityofanderson.com Comments from the public are welcome and may be submitted in person or by mail to the Community Development Department, 120 E. 8th Street, Anderson, In 46016 or by email to ktownsend@cityofanderson.com.
